Enhance Your Play Gyms

We often can have really engaging cages and super boring play stands. We feel that just because our bird is out of the cage that it’s better. When really our birds can be the most bored when sitting on trees and perches outside the cage.

Most perches and trees and jungle gyms are small, most just one perch. Compared to their cages with multiple perches, ample enrichment, and more choice to move around and do more.

So, either dressing up your play stands, like more enrichment, making them bigger, making them more engaging, is something important to keep our birds happy. I like to hand my birds out foot toys while they’re spending time out of their aviaries or hang up baffle cages for them to have fun with! I don’t have the space to make the perches bigger for each bird, but I can make them more exciting!
