Harness Training Isn't Easy

Harnesses are not easily accepted by most birds. It takes training to get the birds to accept the harness going on, coming off, as well as to not try to destroy it while it’s on. You shouldn’t have to towel your bird, hold onto their beaks, or any other type of restraint in order to keep them still to get the harness on. It should be willing and easy for you and the bird.
