Fear No More! Parrot Desensitization Online Class
Is your bird afraid of everything, or maybe acts aggressively towards other people?
Let us help you! Our parrot desensitization online class called “Fear No More” is the perfect place to start to decrease your parrots fear of new objects or people. Most parrot species are naturally neophobic, or afraid of new things; it’s within parrot nature! This does not mean that it must stay this way. It is important to teach our birds that they do not need to fear new things, people, and experiences, and they should trust us, just like they would trust other flock members in the wild.
This class will go over topics like:
what is desensitization?
habituation
counter conditioning
step-by-step how to decrease fearful behaviors for objects, noises, and people.
YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Your instructor will be the owner of Fluff and Feathers All Animal Training Melanie Canatella, B.S., CPBT-KA, and Fear Free Certified Trainer. She has hand selected her favorite tips and tricks for welcoming in a new parrot that she has used not just with her own flock, but with her residential, zoo, and rescue clients as well. These ideas and topics are designed to work for most individuals!
