Target Training Online Class
Target training is the most universal and buildable behavior for you to train your parrot. It is one of the first steps Fluff and Feathers take when working with a new bird to build trust and confidence between us. If it an off-contact form of communication between you and your bird to create a common language so you can effectively move your parrot to new locations. Target training is also a starting behavior for so many other behaviors like trick training, stepping up, decreasing biting and aggression, getting your bird back into its cage, and decreasing fear responses.
Included in this price is the hour-long target training class presentation where we go through step-by-step how to:
Desensitize the target stick
Train the actual target behavior
Utilizing a bridging stimulus effectively
How to effectively train with a food lure and phase it out
Increasing target training complexities
The presentation showcases unaltered training session videos with birds of all sizes, ages, behavioral backgrounds, and including visual disabilities.
